OBJECTIVE

Ghostwrite op-ed piece for client, Steve Dorsey, CEO of babyTEL, a Montreal-based VoIP service provider (now Cloudli).

SOLUTION

I was asked to write a piece about faxing and Fax over IP (FoIP). This is a service offering that our client wanted to promote. The sales & marketing agency I worked for created the opportunity to have an article published in a leading trade magazine, TelecomReseller, and for maximum effect, the CEO's name would be on it.

Faxing is (let's be honest) boring and people make fun of it. So the strategy was to acknowledge that, have some fun with it, and highlight the benefits and how/why it's still being used today (believe it or not).

RESULT

With just a few edits, my article was included in the print, PDF, and online versions of TelecomReseller.

OBJECTIVE

Write content marketing piece to promote contactless payment feature for HSBC credit cards.

SOLUTION

The bank made a flash mob promotional dance video for social media so I pushed the marketing team to also allow us to use it in the article. I also highlighted the hashtag - #PayFaster - for customer engagement while stressing the ease of using an HSBC credit card for daily commuting in New York City.

RESULT

An easy to read resource for customers to learn more about a convenient feature of their credit card. With informative headers, readers can easily scan and digest the article.
